Latest news on the illegal Hainault mosque story – More dissembling, threats and lies from the ‘Mosque-e-teers’
The Islamic takeover of a former workingmans club in Hainault, London continues, and there are some spectacular bare-faced lies coming from the mouths of the representatives of the Hainault and Chigwell Muslim Association.
To recap for those who’ve missed the previous installments of this grisly tale of Taqiyya (lies to promote Islam) and arrogance on the part of the Muslim Association, here are the basic details and if you follow the links at the bottom you can see other occasions when this story has been covered by this blog. What happened was that there was once a workingman’s club in New North Road, Hainault, East London that the local residents wanted to trying to bring back into general community use. Affordable, well run, and accountable community facilities was what the local people wanted the site to be used for. They desired, and I’ve been informed, still desire, that this building be used as a community facility for all.
While the locals were trying to breathe new life into the centre, an Islamic group the Hainault and Chigwell Muslim Association, came up with a proposal to turn the building into a multifaith community centre with a focus on education. The local authority, the London Borough of Redbridge, gave permission for the HCMA to lease this building on the understanding that the building was used for general community purposes. A condition of the planning consent was that this building was not used as a place of worship. Sources in the local area state that the HCMA have completely disregarded these council imposed lease conditions and have turned what should have been a multifaith community centre catering for all, into a Mosque.
The management of the HCMA have treated the local community very shabbily indeed, they have lied to both Redbridge Council and the local residents, when they said that the building would not be used as a mosque. The HCMA have imposed conditions on outside hirers that are quite plainly designed to deter non-Muslims from hiring the centre. OAP Bingo, music, dancing and the free mixing of men and women have been banned by the management of the HCMA. Another ominous indication that the HCMA were going to turn this building into a mosque was when during the planning and handover stage, they asked for the building’s alcohol licence to be removed.
The local people are fighting back very hard on this issue. There have been petitions and calls for a review of the centre and the breaches of the planning consent. HCMA are also mismanaging Jacques Hall, not because of their incompetence, but because of their malevolence and dishonesty. It is quite plain, as an outside observer, to see what has happened here. An Islamic group gets a building under false pretences, by promising that the building and other facilities will be open for all, and then not only breaches their planning and use consent by using it as a mosque, but also breaches other conditions imposed by Redbridge Council that state that the building must be accessible for all. By turning this building into a mosque, HCMA have discriminated against any woman, Christian, Jew, Hindu, Sikh, Atheist, LGBT person or group who may wish to use this building. This building has been stolen. There is no sugar-coated way to put it.
The arrogance of the thieves of HCMA became quite evident following an incident on October 1st 2013 when a group of 15 local residents, pushed past the ‘mosque-e-teer’ guarding the door, one Dr Hameed, and took a photograph of the prayer mats on the hall floor. This is visual proof that the building is indeed being used as a mosque. This was supposed to be a community centre, for the whole community, with a strict planning conditon, that the hall is not to be used as a place of worship. The HCMA have disregarded the law.
Although the photograph is quite blurred, which is understandable bearing in mind that it was taken in difficult and confrontational circumstances, it is quite easy to see that the main hall of the building has been turned into a mosque. Also indicative of mosque activity is what looks like a plaque or dish on the wall by the end window which appears to be taking the place of the ‘kibla arch’, found in or on all mosque walls and which indicates the prescribed direction for Islamic prayer.
Since the building was stolen by HCMA and turned into a mosque, the quality of life for the local people who live near the building has suffered. The hiring and letting policies of the HCMA are alleged to have excluded 97% of the local residents who may have wanted to use this building. As with many mosques, they’ve also suffered from extreme parking and traffic problems whenever Islamic prayer times come around, which is in itself another indication that the building has been ‘mosque-ed’.
Local people are keeping a close eye on this illegal and unwanted mosque and some have been documenting the problems it has brought. One source said that Friday’s are the worst. Between 13:25 and 14:00 hrs there is a lot of vehicular and pedestrian traffic converging on the now stolen community facility. Men in Islamic dress are arriving, taking off shoes and staying for approximately 20 minutes each. How dare people like Dr Hameed lie so outrageously about how this building is being used, of course it is now a mosque.
The dishonesty that this case has exposed should cause Redbridge Council to take immediate action against the HCMA which must include removing them as both tenants and management of the centre and putting the building in the hands of local residents. This case should also make Redbridge look again at other mosque and Islamic community centre applications that are either in the pipeline or have been granted, to see if there are irregularities with either the applications themselves, those behind the applications and the behaviour of applications both prior and after the planning case has been disposed of.
There may be other cases where all may not be right and an allegation has been made, on the Epping Forest Guardian’s comment page (archived below the footer links), that there may be problems with the application for an entity that was called ‘The Mulberry Way Language and Tuition Centre’, where there are alleged to be mosque-like activities going on. The planning website link to the application for the Mulberry Way entity appears to have mysteriously disappeared from the Redbridge Council website.
Dr Hameed sounds like a really nasty piece of work. Not only has he quite obviously bullshitted both the council and the local residents in order to blag the Jacques Hall building but he is not beyond bullying local councillors and trying to smear them as ‘racists’, which he did to Cllr David Poole. After investigation Redbridge Council took no action regarding Dr Hameed’s complaint of inappropriate correspondence by Cllr Poole. His complaint, like so many similar ones, was not worth the paper it was written on. Dr Hameed’s baseless accusation that local people are a bunch of BNP supporters is a similar type of smear to that used on Cllr Poole.
Finally I’d like to ask people who read this blog to see if they can help the local residents resist this illegal mosque. Read the links below for background and get in touch with the Hainault Community Action Group via Twitter ( @hcag2013 ). The locals of Hainault are fighting a dangerous and dishonest group, members of which have shown that they have both no scruples or respect for the law. The HCMA mean to hang onto Jacques Hall no matter what, it is now time for them to be shown that they cannot be allowed to get away with the theft of a community facility which has been paid for by all and should be accessible for all.

Redbridge document showing baseless complaint of racism and religious hatred against Cllr David Poole. Although the Redbridge Monitoring Officer found that Cllr Poole had not been consistent in his objection to different planning applications, they did not back up Hameed’s complaint that Cllr Poole had sent ‘inappropriately worded correspondence ‘.

Below are the comments from the news article from the Epping Forest Guardian. It is included just in case the newspaper decides to delete the comments and restrict debate on the issue of Mosques and Islam ( a ‘memory hole regarding this issue and newspapers is something that happens with depressing regularilty). Sorry it’s just in ‘data-dump’ cut and paste format.
