I’m sick of seeing videos of beheadings
I’m sick of seeing pictures of women disfigured by acid attacks
I’m sick of reading about gang rapes
I’m sick of seeing their violence
I’m sick of lies and deceit
I’m sick of hearing the phrase ‘Allahu Akhbar’
I’m sick of seeing our nation cave in to threats
I’m sick of reading about the endemic abuse of children
I’m sick of reading about the abuse handed out to religious minorities
I’m sick of hearing about women being valued as less than livestock
I’m sick of seeing women imprisoned in mobile canvas prisons
I’m sick of reading about the burning down of churches
I’m sick of hearing that Buddhists monks in Myanmar have been forced to take up arms
I’m sick of seeing pictures of dead gays on ropes
I’m sick of hearing about how nobody has been convicted of female genital mutilation
I’m sick of reading about the corruption of our local and national government.
I’m sick of Islam. Maybe you are too?
I should add that I’m also sick of our appeasing politicians, religious leaders, journalists and academics who are too cowardly even to put a name to the enemy, even as this enemy threatens each and every one of us. These craven Quislings, of which there are sadly too many, are the unfit heirs of those who bought our freedom both on the battlefield and in the debating chambers.
